Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize high track density recording by making it possible to manufacture a magnetic body, adequate for a head core even if track width is narrow, by improving a plating method and etching method for a magnetic film for the formation of the core. CONSTITUTION:On substrate 1, metallized layer 2 is formed as the base of electroplating. On it, partition 9 whose internal size (l) is equal to the track width of lower magnetic body 3 is formed by a plating photo-resist picture. After magnetic film 6 is stuck on layer 2, 1st metal film 3 including its flanks is covered with etching photo-resist picture 11 and 2nd metal film 10 is removed by an adequate etching solution. Then, pictures 9 and 11 are removed entirely to expose film 3, i.e. lower magnetic body 3.
