Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce an ammonium phosphate slurry efficiently and continuously by introducing liquid ammonium and an aq. phosphoric acid soln. into a mixing section set at the front end of a horizontal type tubular reactor of a special form from the front part and the lower part, respectively. CONSTITUTION:Liquid ammonia is introduced into mixing section 3 in the horizontal type tubular reactor from duct 1 through duct 6 whose tip is made porous, and a below 40wt% aq. soln. as P2O5 of phosphoric acid is introduced into section 3 from the lower part through duct 2. They are reacted, and the resulting ammonium phosphate slurry is taken out of the system through slurry transfer section 4 and bushing nozzle 5. The reactor consists of front mixing section 3 and section 4 perpendicularly curved downward and provided with nozzle 5 at the tip. The diameter of section 4 is smaller than that of section 3, and the ratio of sections 3 and 4 in diameter is 3.7 or more. The internal press. of the reactor is maintained at 1.0-3.0kg/cm<2>G.
