Abstract

PURPOSE: To prolong a length of the battery operational time, with a heat from the heating agent causing a heat generation in the heat generating unit to increase a thermal insulation, by providing a thermal insulation layer, having the heat generating unit, at one end or both ends of the layer-built unit with element cell and heating agent alternately laminated.
CONSTITUTION: An element cell 1 is constructed by using, for instance, calcium plate for the negative pole, LiCl-KCl eutectic salt for the electrolyte, chromic acid calcium for the positive pole and iron for the positive pole current collector unit.
