Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize the cost reduction of a measuring element and high-sensitivity detection of magnetic field intensity under an cryogenic temperature by detecting normal conduction transfer by providing a superconductor, given a cooling function by being rolled, with a heater and search coil.
CONSTITUTION: The center part of superconductor, which is rolled with its terminal in contact with ab ultralow temperature part and coated with copper 2, is wounded with searth coil 4 and heater 5 and they are sealed and fixed by adibatic agent 8 together with lead wires 3, 6 and 7 to constitute measuring element 9, which is installed in low-temperature container 10. In this constitution, while a current flow- ing through lead wire 3 is made constant, a current through heater 5 is increased through lead wire 6 to reduce the critical magnetic field of superconductor 1, so that the normal conduction transfer of superconductor 1 being applied with a slight magnetic field can be detected through lead wire 7. Therefore, unknown magnetic field intensity can be found from the current value of heater 5 without time delay by previously knowing fixed relation.
