Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the impairment of the wide-angle radiation pattern caused by the blocking or the like with the effect of the shield plate featuring a drill shape which is provided at the edge of the opening part of the antenna used for the frequency band higher than the microwave, thus obtaining a wide-angle radiation pattern. CONSTITUTION:The spherical wave radiated from feed horn 1 is reflected by reflector 2 to be changed into the plane wave to be radiated to outside through structure 4 of a cylindrical form through the antenna device, which can be used for the higher frequency bands. Then drill-shaped shield plare 4 is provided at the opening edge of such antenna device. Thus the refraction phenomenon caused at edges P1 and P2 of the opening by plate 4 is shifted to edges Q1 and Q2, thus improving the refraction wave and thus obtaining a wide-angle radiation pattern. Furthermore, the electric wave absorber is installed inside plate 4 to secure reflection for the reflected waves from edges P1 and P2 within plate 4, thus avoiding giving the evil effect to the radiation pattern.
