Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the scattered waves at a high frequency band, by using plural metallic rods which are parallel to an antenna element of VHF band provided on a Cassegrain or Gregorian antenna and thus setting the space between the metallic rod at 1 wavelength. CONSTITUTION:A parabola antenna which receives the feed through a linear antenna 4 provided on a secondary antenna 2 with the freqency of the VHF band and is reflected by a main reflector 1 is also used as a Gregorian antenna which receives the feed through a primary horn antenna 3 with the frequency of the microwave band or millimeter wave band and is reflected by the reflectors 2 and 1. Dipoles 5a and 5b plus reflectors 6a and 6b are attached to the antenna 4. The dipoles 5a and 5a are made of metallic rods 8a and 8b, and the space lambda/2 is set between these dipoles 5a and 5b along the surface vertical to the travelling direction of the electric wave 9 of a high frequency band which is radiated from the horn 3. In such way, the scattered waves are eliminated within the above-mentioned surface to obtain the wide-angle radiation characteristics. The scattered waves can also be eliminated by setting the space at lambda/4 along the travelling direction of the wave 9.
