Abstract

PURPOSE: To providing electrically and mechanically stable semiconductor corona protective layer by winding specified corona protective tape on surface of insulative layer winding by micatape and unifying the tape and the layer.
CONSTITUTION: An insulating layer 6 is provided on the circumference of a conductive body 5 by winding a micatape produced in such a manner that a fiber cloth or film is coated with a resin containing suitable amount of mica powder and then the coated resin is half-cured by heat treatment. After that a corona protective tape 1 is further winded on the surface of thus produced layer 6. The tape 1 consists of a sheet type core 2 of urethane rubber containing suitable amount of semiconductor material and a reinfocing fiber cloth 3 therefor. The layer 6 is winded with tape 1, thereafter, it is subjected heat press formation. Thus, the tape 1 and the layer 6 are unified and the semiconductor corona protective layer is formed on the surface of the layer 6.
