Abstract

As a result of conduction of SCR 7, a capacitor 28 which has been charged in the polarity shown in the drawing is charged in the reverse polarity, and an integrating capacitor 32 begins to be charged until reaching the specified value, where a quench tube 24 is made to conduct. The discharge current passes through the discharge tube 5, diode 6, diode 27, quench tube 24 and capacitor 28, thereby making SCR 7 not to conduct, so that the capacitor 28 is charged again in the polarity shown in the drawing, thus stopping emission. When the neon tube 50 is lighting, this process is repeated.
