Abstract

PURPOSE: To lessen the influence of the drawing-up height by once storing the liquid drawn-up in a relay tank and allowing the liquid to be discharged by pressurized gas, in a pump which draws-up the liquid having a large specific gravity.
CONSTITUTION: Between a discharge pipe and a suction pipe 2 which is opened at a position lower than the liquid surface of the liquid 1 to be drawn-up, a relay tank 4 is arranged, connected through a cut-off valve 3, and a pressurizedgas tank 11 is connected with the relay tank 4 through an intake-exhaust pipe 7 and an exhaust valve 8. The height to the exhaust valve 8 and a pressure valve 10 from the liquid surface is set higher than the physical liquid column determined by the negative pressure of exhaust and the specific gravity of the liquid to be drawn-up. Further, a valve operating apparatus 13 equipped with a timer is arranged by which each cut-off valve of the exhaust valve 8, pressure valve 10, suction pipe 2, discharge pipe 6 is opened and closed in linkage. Thus, the structure can be made simple, and automatic remote control is enabled, and the equipment is not restrained by the shape and dimension of a liquid tank.
