Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a horizontal mixer which is excellent in dispersing and mixing actions by providing a number of projected small pieces on the surface of roller in such a way that they come near the bottom of the mixing vessel. CONSTITUTION:A number of the projected small pieces 3 are provided on the peripheral surface of the roller 2 in s spiral form directed from the left and right bothe ends to the center and the inclined angles theta of the small pieces 3 to the axial direction become faced oppoeitely to each other to form the mixing rotor 4. Then, the mixing rotor 4 is fastened rotatably in the mixing vessel 1 in such a way that it comes near the bottom inside wall of the vessel 1, and the upper part of the vessel is provided with the material charging hole 5 and also the lower part is provided with the mix discharge hole 7 to form a horizontal mixer. When the mixing rotor 4 is rotated and materials are charged into the charging hole 5, the materials are sent to the central part and lifted by the action of the projected small pieces 3 and mixed with high efficiency by a circulating movement directed up both end portions in a repeated manner.
