Abstract

A concrete mixer consists of one or two beaters 21, 22 driven by a mixing mechanism 10 which is connected to a slide 3 that can move up and down on a base 7. The mixing mechanism can be non rotatable and in this case it is bolted to a slide, or it can be connected with a slide by means of a central shaft 1 that can rotate in bearings fixed in a slide. The mixing mechanism means comprise one or two beaters which are spinning around a centerline of a rod of a beater that is vertical in working position, and to a lower end of a rod there are welded arms that are horizontal in working position or inclined downward from horizontal position; means is provided for injecting air through a beater into a medium in a mixing vat 9. Each beater spins around a centerline of a rod, but if a mixing mechanism is revolving around a central shaft 1 a beater can also circulate on a radius equal a distance between the centerline of a central shaft and a centerline of a beater. The mixing vat 9 can be motionless or have a pivoting motion. The mixer can mix air entrained and ordinary concrete very efficiently. <IMAGE>
