Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a bright position from shifting due to variout changes in conditions by detecting an electron beam striking the face plate of an electron-beam tube shifting from a fixed position and then by controlling the position of the electron beam.
CONSTITUTION: Bright line 12 is generated at a fixed position on fiber plate 2 and micro channel plates 151 to 156 are closely arranged over and under the set position of bright line 12 inside of plate 2. Plates 151 to 156 are applied with a direct-current high voltage from direct-current high-tension circuit 16 via hermetic seal 17 and the output signal is led to beam-current detecting amplifier circuit 19 via hermetic seal 18. A shift in position of bright line 12 is detected by plates 151 to 156 and amplified by circuit 19. Corresponding to the output signal of circuit 19, vertical position control circuit 20 supplies a current to a vertical deflecting coil, so that an electron beam from electron gun 8 will be deflected to set bright line 12 to the set position.
