Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a caisson work efficient by floating a specific floating cylinder on water filled in an underground bore and sinking it by putting thereon laminated and glued precast blocks one by one while filling the floating cylinder with concrete.
CONSTITUTION: A big borehole B is bored into ground A and filled with muddy water, thereafter, a floating cylinder 1 such as a steel pontoon equipped with necessary number of grouting pipes is floated. Cylindrical precast blocks 2 are laminated on the floating cylinder one by one by means of a gate crane C and when the block becomes to project over the ground level, concrete 4 is filled on the bottom plate within the floating cylinder and the cylinder is sunken. In this case, the floating cylinder is hung by PC steel wires 3 through blocks and the blocks are glued each other by applying adhessive agent between contacting surfaces thereof.
