Abstract
PURPOSE: Concrete is poured at site into the expanded bottom part at the leading end of the excavated hole, pre-made pile having shoes therein is forced into the concrete to form an integral assembly therewith and thereby a pile having substantial performance is installed in a short period of time without any pollution.
CONSTITUTION: Excavation is performed, the leading portion extended down to the supporting layer is expanded at its bottom so as to increase a force for supporting the ground. Concrete 2 is poured into the expanded bottom. It is preferable to add retarder to the concrete 2 and to delay a curing time. Pre-made pile 3 having a special shoe 4 at its leading end is forced into the concrete 2. This shoe is made such that the supporting bottom area or surface area is increased to expand the adhering action caused by a direct pressure or a friction, or the mechanical adhering action is further increased, and then attached to the pre-formed pile 3 by welding etc. Concrete 2 and pre-made pile 3 are integrally formed by this shoe 4 to make a composite pile.
