Abstract
PURPOSE: A composition that is composed of a silicone rubber, an organic peroxide, deomposition-type foaming agent, a decomposition accelerator and a liquid compatible with silicone rubber, thus giving silicone foam expanded to high expansion rate.
CONSTITUTION: To (A) a silicone rubber containing diorganopolysiloxane and a filler as fine powder of silica or kieselguhr are incorporated (B) a decomposition- type foaming agent as azodicarboxylic acid amide, benzenesulfonyl hydrazide, (C) an organic peroxide as benzoyl peroxide, or dicumyl peroxide, (D) 0.5W10 parts by wt of a decomposition accelerator for the foaming agent as zinc oxide or oxalic acid, and (D) 3W15 parts of a liquid boiling at 90W150°C that is compatible with the silicone rubber as benzene or xylene and they are kneaded.
