Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a non-agglomerating triethylenediamine composition having agglomeration preventing effect without affecting the function as a foaming catalyst of urethane, by adding silica to triethylenediamine crystals.
CONSTITUTION: The objective non-agglomerating triethylenediamine composition is obtained by compounding 100pts.wt. of triethylenediamine crystals with 0.01W 2.0pts.wt. preferably 0.04W0.2pts.wt. of silica as an agent for preventing the agglomeration. The silica used as the agglomeration preventing agent is preferably the one having a bulk density of ≤200g/l, especially ≤80g/l. The mixing is preferably carried out by adding silica to triethylenediamine crystals, and mixing thoroughly with e.g. V-blender, etc.
