CONSTITUTION:Mixed bed (c) of cation and anion exchange resins is packed into the lowermost part of desalination tower 1, and anion exchange resin (b) and cation exchange resin (a) are packed on bed (c) in order. At ordinary times condensed water 2 is fed into cation (a) and anion (b) exchange resin layers, bypassing bed (c). At a necessary time such as leakage of a condenser, start of a boiler, or the like, bed (c) is connected to the bottom of the layers, and water 2 is treated. At the time of regeneration the resins are back-washed in regeneration tower 6 and supplied with acid 10 from the bottom and alkali 8 from the top.
