Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce unnecessary coupling of electrode fingers, by omitting a part of the electrode finger at the boundary between the main lobe and the side lobe partly. CONSTITUTION:In the reed screen electrode 2 in which the position of the side lobe is partly shifted to the main lobe orthogonally to the surface wave propagation direction, the electrode finger at the boundary between the main lobe and the side lobe is partly omitted. As a result, since the coupling section q having unnecessary part hatched has greater coupling distance, the excitation of surface waves is remarkably reduced for the part. Generally, in the reed screen electrode having rectangular band characteristics, since the envelope waveform of the electrode finger is the waveform expressed in Sin X/X, when a part of the effective opening is shifted in parallel with orthogonal direction of surface wave propagation, the effective opening length is sufficiently small at the boundary of the side lobe through parallel shift of the effective opening at the boundary of side lobe, and if a part of the electrode finger for the part is omitted, the deterioration in the performance is very less.
