Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a sudden change of the damping characteristic effectively by providing a dashpot mechanism between the sleeve and the piston nut and by changing the sleeve with a lag according to the change of relative position of the piston. CONSTITUTION:When the sleeve 14 moves in the Y-direction and separates from the position detecting spring 15 during an extending operation, in keeps on closing the bypass 17 with a lag of response time by oil in the reservoir 27 and by the viscous friction resistance due to a flow of oil from the gap of reservoir. Thus the sleeve keeps on closing the bypass until the piston reaches the upper dead point of the stroke to prevent a sudden change of the damping characteristic even though the sleeve separates from the position detecting spring.
