Abstract

PURPOSE: The captioned straightening device capable of removing fine strains and enhancing product value by bending the sloped end edges to the angle-form bent parts provided on both sides of a curved roof plate forwed with corrugations in the lengthwise direction through the use of upper and lower straightening rolls and top face pressing rolls.

CONSTITUTION: The flat plate work P₀ is passed between upper and lower forming rolls 1a, 1b...4a, 4b to form the bottom part P₁ of a roof plate P and the sloped parts of the angle-form parts P₂ on both sides thereof in such a manner that the angles of inclination of the sloped parts increase. Next, the sloped end edges P₃, P₃ on the outer side are also formed while they are further being sharply sloped by upper and lower forming rolls 5a, 5b...9a, 9b. Following to this, corrugations are made in the molding direction only at the bottom part P₁ by upper and lower forming rolls 24a, 24b and at the same time the plate P having been formed with the sloped end edges of the angle-form bent parts P₂, P₂ on both sides of the bottom P₁ are curved and formed by upper and lower forming rolls 10a, 10b, 11a, 11b. At the time of this curving and forming, left and right end edges P₃, P₃ are formed to circular arc form, etc. in section by upper and lower straightening rolls 41, 42, first free roll 43 and second upper and lower straightening rolls 43.
