Abstract

PURPOSE:A small-sized and inexpensive rolling mill which is able to fully control the width direction plate thickness of rolled material by mounting an inclined roll having an inclined axis to the axis of the work roll and its inclining device in either side of one pair of work rolls. CONSTITUTION:In order to reduce a bend of work rolls 2, 3 due to rolling load, the intermediate roll 6 is made to incline in the horizontal surface, the load from the reinforced rolls 4, 5 to the part of work rolls 2, 3 which do not contact the strip 1 is reduced, and also the different plate thickness of plate width direction of the strip 1 is made to correct more effectively by the cooperative work of inclining adjustment of the roll 6 and the roll bending devices 8, 9. In case the work rolls 2, 3 and the reinforced rolls 4, 5 have the same diameter, and the up and down driving condition is same, the roll 6 can be arranged in either side, but in case the diamter of rolls 2, 3 is different and the large diameter roll 3 is driven, the intermediate roll 6 is arranged in the roll 2 side.
