Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a method of the production of a rubber vibration insulator body with a metal housing, wherein the rubber vibration insulator body is made of a rubber composition which is compatible with a petroleum hydrocarbon oil, and as a lubricant use is made of a petroleum hydrocarbon oil, so that the slipping of the rubber vibration isulator from the metal housing can be prevented. CONSTITUTION:A rubber vibration insulator body 3 is made of a rubber composition which is compatible with a pertroleum hydrocarbon oil, the surface of the rubber vibration insulator body 3 is applied with a petroleum hydrocarbon oil, then the rubber vibration insulator body 3 is pressed into a metal housing 2 using the lubricating action if the pertroleum hydrocarbon oil. After the press-in, the pertroleum hydrocarbon oil will penetrate into the rubber vibration insulator body 3 and can disappear from the surface thereof. Therefore the original surface of the rubber vibration insulator body 3 reappear and the static coefficient of friction thereof will be rapidly restored approximately to that of a rubber vibration insulator body which is not subjected to any treatments and is in a dry condition. Thus due to this and the prepressed stress in the rubber vibration insulator body 3, friction resistance between the rubber vibration insulator body 3 and the housing 2 is quickly established to prevent the rubber vibration insulator 3 from slipping off the housing 2.
