Abstract

339,455. Thompson, W. S. Nov. 16, 1929. Locking.-A device for retaining in position a nut on a bolt comprises a member 1 of crimped strip sprung into a groove 3 in the bolt 4 fast above the outer surface of the nut 5. Various forms of crimping are described, the member being continued, or split with overlapping ends. These latter may be fixed or free. The device is applied to the retaining of a bearing on a shaft.
