Abstract

PURPOSE: To cool the title gasification product with a high operating efficiency, by using a gasifier for hydrocarbons comprising a fixed bed of water gas reactive particles and an inverted cone-type cooler with a fluidized bed of fine particles.
CONSTITUTION: The gasifier 1 is equipped with the inverted cone-type cooler 3 thereon, and the large particle containing dolomite, and MgO which are active for the water gas reaction are filled in the bottom of the cooler 3 to form a fixed bed. The fine particles 4, e.g. sand and zircon sand, are filled above the bed to form a fluidized bed. A gas formed in the reactor 1 at the same temperature as the gas in the bottom of the fixed bed 9 deposits no coke, and deposited coke on the bed 9 comprising the fine particles is gasified by water gas reaction. The coke in the fluidized bed 4 is peeled by the collision between the particles and discharged from above the cooler to cool the accompanying gas without coking.
