Abstract

PURPOSE: A heat-emitting agent that is prepared by kneading an iron powder, an aqueous solution of sulfurous acid or phosphrous acid or their salts, silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, thus continuing heat emission in air at the body temperature for long periods of time and being easy-to-handle because the heat emission can be stopped.
CONSTITUTION: Said agent consists of (A) an iron powder, (B) an aqueous solution of sulfurous, dithionous, thiosulfuric, phosphoric, phosphorous, hypophosphorous acid or their salts, and (C) silicon dioxide or aluminum oxide or their mixture. The metal salts of (B) are from Na, K, Ca, Mg, Ba, Al, Zn, etc. Component (C) is, e.g., potassium aluminosilicate or magnesium calcium metasilicate. The composition is preferably 4W50wt% of (A), 5W40wt% of (B) and 10W70wt% of (C) respectively. The 1W50% aqueous solution of (B) is adsorbed on (C) and then they are mixed with (A) to give said product.
