Abstract

PURPOSE:To drop a developing fluid by its own weight to remove it from the surface of a photoreceptor, by charging the developing fluid attached to the photoreceptor with a corona discharger provided near the outlet of the developing section of the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:Developing fluid 4 is drawn up with pump 5 and ejected onto the image surface of photosensitive paper 1 wound round drum 12 from nozzle 6, and forced to turbulently flow in wedge-like path 9 formed by paper 1 and developing electrode 4. Corona discharger 3 is provided near the outlet of paper 1 from developing section 2, fluid 4 remaining on paper 1 is charged to a polarity so as to reduce the attachment force, resulting in dropping fluid 4 by its own weight and removing it from the paper 1 surface.
