Abstract
PURPOSE: Rice hulls are putrefied by one of basidiomycetous to give rice hull feed having remarkably improved digestibility and high nutrition.
CONSTITUTION: Rice hulls, the major ingredient of culture medium, are combined with water, nitrogenous compounds, a trace amount of inorganic ions and then they are sterilized. One of basidiomycetrous as Flammulina velutipes, Pleurotus ostreatus, Pholiota nameko, Cortinellus shiitake, etc. is seeded to the medium and cultured at 10W40°C to 5W40% purefaction degree. The resulting rice hulls have improved digestibility because the portion of lignin is decomposed by laccase produced by the microorganisms to reduce the content and the degrees of cellulase decomposition and dry decomposition are improved.
