Abstract

PURPOSE: To establish the binary/BCD in real number using ROM's as the hardware, in order to perform digital display in decimal number for the analog quantity expressed in the binary number.
CONSTITUTION: The input binary number consists of the code section 1 and the numeric section 2, which consists of the integer sections b7 to b13 and the fraction sections b0 to b6. The numeric section 2 is converted into the absolute values X0 to X13 in 14 bits with the absolute value calculation circuit 3. The integer sections X7 to X13 are converted into the BCD signals BCD1 to BCD3 corresponding to each digit of 102, 101 and 100 via well known BCD conversion circuit 4. The fraction sections X0 to X6 are fed to the ROM 5 taking the said numeral as the address to read out the BCD signals BCD4 to BCD6 corresponding to each digit of 10-1, 10-2 and 10-3 coded in advance.
