Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and make it possible to obtain a high- reliability sweep needle handling by causing the rotor in the electronic wrist watch, which has a converter and a reverse deadvancing mechanism, to reciprocate. CONSTITUTION:Rotor 3 is constituted by a cylindrical permanent magnet and driving cam 14. Driving cam 14 has three teeth and is not unbalanced. In rotor 3, the magnetic pole of the permanent magnet reciprocated by inversional pulses and the position of teeth of the driving cam are relative to each other. Tooth 14a is a feeding tooth and rotates slave moving wheels 11 and 12. Teeth 14b and 14c are longer than tooth 14a; and when the amplitude of rotor 3 becomes large, they strike teeth of slave moving wheels 11 and 12, and the amplitude is limited, and rotor 3 is not rotated. Driving cam 14 and slave moving wheels 11 and 12 are coated with silicon carbide, and the permanent magnet has a high magnetic energy because of a cylindrical form, and the driving cam has a small inertia because of small size, and the energy applied to coil 2 is stored in the energy of rotor 3, so that operation is efficient and power consumption can be reduced.
