Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of under capacity cell, with a carbonic gas, adsorbed to silver oxide, removed and crystal precipitation prevented, by means of heat processing an anode unit, comprising a main active material of silver oxide, at a temperature in a specific range. CONSTITUTION:An anode can 1, combining the anode terminal, houses an anode compound 2, with a silver oxide being the main active material. A cathode compound 4 is provided comprising a zinc amalgam housed in a cathode can 3 combining the cathode terminal with a separator 5 and an electrolyte holding agent 6 intermediately located. Both of the above cans 1, 3 are tightly sealed by intermediately locating a gasket 7 for combining a purpose of insulation sealing, to construct the cell. The above anode compound 2 is processed heat treatment at a temperature range of 240 to 330 deg.C to remove the carbonic gas. For the above heat treatment, a condition will be suitable at temperature of 250 deg.C for 30 minutes.
