Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned printing plate of superior sensitivity without using any organic solvent by using a water medium emulsion of lipophilic resins on the photosensitive diazo compound layer provided on the hydrophilic surface of a substrate thereby forming an ink receptive layer. CONSTITUTION:Photosensitive diazo compound (e.g., the produce of reaction of diazonium salt and aldol) is coated about 1 to 500mg/m<2> on the surface of a substrate such as aluminum plate which has been hydrophiled through sanding, dipping by aqueous sodium silicate solution or other, thence a water medium emulsion of lipophilic resins is coated about 0.1 to 5g/m<2> (preferably 0.3 to 3g/m<2>) thereon whereby the photosensitive lithographic printing plate is obtained. As the abovementioned emulsion, the latex of the lipophilic resins composed of (metha) acrylic ester, etc. (a) about 20 to 100wt%, (meth)acrylic acid, etc. (b) about 0 to 25wt% and polyol unsaturated ester (c) about 0 to 80wt% is used.
