Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a bubble transfer passage without ion implantation, by making one bubble carrying magnetic film of a material whose magnetic properties are hard to change under heat treatment and another bubble carrying magnetic film of a material whose magnetic properties are easy to change under heat treatment.
CONSTITUTION: An (EuTm)3(GaFe)5O12 film 2 is epitaxially grown at liquid phase on a substrate 1 of Gd3Ga5O12 single crystal. A (YSmGdGa)3(FeGa)5O12 film 3 is stratified and grown on the film 2. An Au layer 4 is then evaporated coated on the film 3 by evaporation and processed to a contiguous disc pattern 5 by optical exposure. The assembly is then treated with heat at a temperature of 1000°C under O2 of one atmosphere for one hour. At that time, the magnetic properties of the film 2 do not change at all but those of the film 3 change. As a result, a magnetization construction including a charged wall 6, bubbles 7 and a magnetization direction 8 is produced. A contiguous disc transfer pattern is thus obtained.
