Abstract

PURPOSE:To inexpensively fabricate in linear polarization gas laser tube in pass production by mounting a polarization surface control glass surface plate at an elastic metal member, inserting the glass surface plate partly into a vacuum enclosure, and fixing it by the elastic metal member to thereby eliminate the difficulty in mounting the glass surface plate. CONSTITUTION:A glass surface plate 10 is mounted at a metal member 11 to contron the polarization surface to thereby provide a glass surface plate structure 12. This structure 12 is inserted into the mirror supporting tube 9 of a vacuum enclosure, and fixed by the elastic metal member 11. The member 11 is formed in U shape with a cutout 16 provided to press the side surface thereof by the elasticity thereof for fixedly inserting the surface plate 10 thereinto. The structure 12 is so inserted into the supporting tube 9 as to press the member 11 ro contract it before mounting a mirror 2 thereat and to release the pressing force therefrom to allow the elastic metal to urge the inner wall of the supporting tube 9 for fixture of the member 11 thereinto. As a result, it can inexpensively fabricate the gas laser tube in mass production.
