Abstract

PURPOSE:To relax a mechanical ditortion applied to a glass surface plate and fix the glass surface plate strongly by a method wherein the glass surface plate is fixed by means of a metallic member having resilience, and the metallic member is fastened to one end section of a vacuum enclosure. CONSTITUTION:A resilient metallic member 11 to which a glass surface plate 8 for regulating a polarized surface is fixed is mounted to one section 10 of a vacuum enclosure 6 witout an inscribed shape by using a mirror 2. The glass surface plate 8 is fixed by the force of the springs of tilt pawls 12 installed to the metallic member 11 and pawls 13 for regulating movement, and a hole 14 is formed at a location into which laser rays pass. As a working process using the member, the metallic member 11 is inserted into the one section 10 of the vacuum enclosure 6, pressed down by means of the mirror 2 from the outside and fixed, and fastened by employing glass having the low melting point or adhesives 16 or the like.
