Abstract

PURPOSE: Combined jet pump and electric pump in which hot liquid may be suctioned to make a differential pressure required for operating a steam trap and a capability of the steam trap may sufficiently be demonstrated.
CONSTITUTION: Discharge port 2 and intake port 3 of the electric pump 1 are connected in a loop by the circulation passages 4 and 5, and the jet pump 6 is arranged between the circulation passages 4 and 5. Incoming passage 7 is arranged to communicate with a section chamber between a nozzle portion and a throat portion of the jet pump 6. Water returned from the steam device 8 is guided to the incoming passage 7 via outlet passage 10. In the passage 10 is arranged a pressure sensor means 11. To the circulation passage 4 at the intake port near said pump 6 is opened the nozzle 12 for feeding cold temperature water, and in the passage 13 for feeding low temperature water communicating therewith are arranged the electric pump 14 for pumping the low temperature water and valve 15 to be varied for its opening by the control means 17 and the driving means 17 in reference to the signal from said sensor means 11.
