Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve starting performance with an injection carburetor which injects fuel in accordance with the air flow, by setting a meter-bypassing fuel line through which auxiliary fuel is fed in case of starting at a low temperature.
CONSTITUTION: An air flow meter 13, set in the axial direction of suction air flow, is composed of two rotary bodies 15 below which are set a plunger 57 and an injection nozzle 80 whose injection is controlled through vertical shift of the plunter 57. Fuel flows from a fuel tank 18 to the plunger 57 through a pump 16 are pressure regulator 20. A fuel line 49 is directly connected with the nozzle 80 through a bypass fuel passage 50 equipped with a solenoid valve 60 which is opened in case of cold starting by means of a control circuit 14 with signals from a water temperature sensor 10 and O2 sensor 12.
