Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce greatly the notching distortion by increasing forcedly the base voltage of one transistor of the composite NPN transistor and then securing the conduction for the composite transistor with a low level of voltage to compensate the turn-on delay time. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with the AC input signal applied to the base of the driving step transistor (TR)Q2, the conduction and the breaking are given alternately between the composite NPNTR of Darlington-connected TRQ5, Q<6> and the composite TR of PNPTRQ4 plus NPNTRQ6, Q9 each, and then the amplified signal is supplied to speaker SP. The base voltage of TRQ6 is increased forcedly although the turn-on delay time may occur when TRQ5, Q8 are broken with TRQ4 conducting. As a result, the conduction can be secured for TRQ6, Q9 with the lower voltage than the voltage needed so far to give the conduction to TRQ6, Q9. Accordingly, the turn-on delay time can be compensated for the composite TR of TRQ4 plus Q6, Q9 to give an extreme reduction to the notching distortion.
