CONSTITUTION:One portion (a portion surrounded by a two-dot chain line) of a heat insulating layer 1 is previously removed by means of etching, etc. so that an electric good conductor 5 coated on an extension of a common feed wire portion 3 become lower than exothermic portions 2, and the thickness of the portion is made thinner than other portions. Heat sensitive paper 10 and the exothermic portions 2 can satisfactorily be contacted, and the excellent concentration of printing can be obtained. A thermal head can easily be formed without bridging adjacent feed wire portions 4, and the thermal head for high speed printing can be manufactured in superior yield.
