Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a suction resistance due to a pumping loss of a throttle valve and to control correction of an amount of fuel injection from an injection valve of an internal-combustion engine by providing a heat exchanger in a suction air passage behind an intake air flow meter in order to correct a density of the intake air.
CONSTITUTION: A signal from an intake air flow meter 13 equipped in a suction air passage 12 is sent to a fuel injection valve 16 in order to perform a proper injection. The passage 12 is divided into a cold-air passage 14 and a hot-air passage 15 passing through a heat exchanger 18 equipped in an exhaust passage 17, the passages 14 and 15 being provided with first and second valves 21 and 19 for controlling an intake-air temperature opened and closed by a link motion 22 interlocked with an accelerator pedal. Moreover, a pressure-regulating valve 23 is provided on the wall between the passages 14 and 15. When the engine is at a low temperature, the control valve 23 is closed by a heat-sensitive valve 27, so that most intake air flows through the hot-air passage 15. After that, the control valve 23 is opened at above a predetermined temperature, so that more intake air flows through the cold-air passage 14.
