Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an adjustment of high precision in a short time by providing a fine adjusting function in addition to a previously-provided adjustment data regarding all adjustment points. CONSTITUTION:One-frame memory 31 consists of ROM32 and nonvolatile RAM33 and in ROM32, high-order bits, e.g., four bits of inherent correction values regarding all adjustment points are written as coarse adjustment values for coarse adjustments of the entire screen. In RAM33, on the other hand, correction data concerning all adjustment points are written for fine adjustments by data reversible counter 2. Next, the contents of memory 31 are read out and after interpolated, D/A-converted 9 to output convergence signals via LPF10. Thus, data for coarse adjustments are previously stored in ROM and there is no need to write then for adjustments, so that corrections of high precision can be made in a short time.
