Abstract

PURPOSE:To save memory capacity while shortening the time of an adjustment by storing correction values of respective adjustment points on crosses on a screen and/ or corner parts. CONSTITUTION:One-frame memory 31 consists of ROM and nonvolatile RAM; and high-order bits of correction data regarding respective adjustment points on crosses on a screen are written in ROM while low-order bits are written in RAM and those data are repeatedly read out. For fine adjustments, correction data of low-order bits are written via data reversible counter 34 by correcting the value of RAM. Next, the contents of memory 31 are read out and after interpolated, D/A-converted 9 to lead out convergence signals via LPF10. Thus, the adjustment time is shortened and ROM is repeatedly read to find the correction value of another adjustment point, so that the memory capacity can be saved. Further, corrections of high precision can be made covering the entire screen by writing correction value of screen corner parts.
