Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent decrease of sealing pressure even if a sealing element is deteriorated and worn due to the lapse of time by arranging a spring device which pushes an annular elastic material sealing element which contacts with the outer circumference of a linear sliding shaft which requires high degree of sealing.
CONSTITUTION: A circumferential groove 3 is formed on the shaft sliding surface of the supporting element 1 which supports a sliding shaft 2, and an annular sealing element 4 is installed into the circumferential groove 3, and with said sealing element 4, one end of a compression spring 7 is contacted under pressure through a pressing plate 6, and the other end is supported by a spring receiving element 8 fixed on the supporting element 1. Therefore, even if the sealing element 4 is deteriorated and worn, and the elastic force is reduced, a constant pressure is applied by the compression spring 7, and sealing action is not reduced, and reliability is improved.
