PURPOSE: To provide the title glass consisting of a specified amount each of SiO2, Al2O3, ZrO2, CaO, BaO, SrO, Na2O,K2O and B2O3, cabable of undergoing stable spinning work, having superior durability, and suitable for use as a cement reinforcing material.
CONSTITUTION: The glass consists of SiO2 51W61% (especially 53W58%), Al2O3 <4% (<2%), ZrO2 10 (12)Wless than 18%, CaO 1.5 (2)W8%, BaO 4W24% (5W 22%), SrO<10% (<5%), Na2O 3W16% (4W12%), K2O<5% (<3%) and B2O3<3% (<2%), satisfying (CaO+SrO+BaO)=10W30wt% and BaO/(CaO+ SrO+BaO)=0.2W0.8 by mol.
