Abstract

PURPOSE:To both miniaturize a capacitor capacitance and enable an accurate ignition control of an ignition device, by providing a current cancelling circuit that cancels a current influencing a capacitor voltage from a capacitor voltage detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:An ignition device comprises a voltage comparator circuit 220 that generates a square wave by a threshold level at which outputs of an AC generator 201 synchronized with the revolution of an engine and a close angle control circuit 230 are determined, constant current control circuit 221 for limiting a primary current in an ignition coil 212 not to be a prescribed value or more, and output circuit 222 for turning on-off the primary side of the ignition coil 212 by the square wave from the above-described circuit 220. Here in the close angle control circuit 230, a cancelling circuit 232 is provided which cancels a current flowing into capacitors from a voltage detecting circuit for detecting voltage of capacitors 197, 199 in said circuit 230 and waveform correcting circuit 231.
