Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve an appropriate idling r.p.m of an engine under a closed loop state by detecting the engine condition and properly control additional supply of air in case of an sharp reduction in r.p.m after idling.
CONSTITUTION: In idling of an engine, if its r.p.m is lower than a specific r.p.m corresponding to a voltage level determined by a function voltage generator 200, it is at the negative potential with respect to a D/A converter 100 to which power of an integrator 301, 302 is input. The power of the circuit 200 is applied to a noninverting input of an OP amplifier 501 included in a voltage-current converting circuit 500. The circuit 500 controls a solenoid system 34 of an air regulation valve in a bypass duct bypassing a throttle valve of a carbureter that a potential at a random point "a" becomes equal to a terminal voltage C of a resistance 504. With increase of injected fuel caused by increase of air bypassing the throttle valve, an idling speed may become high.
