Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep a uniform viscosity of the ink by a method wherein a viscosity of the supplied ink in detected, a driving of the motor for operating the ink supplying pump is engaged with or disengaged from the diluent liquid supplying pump to supply a required volume of diluent liquid. CONSTITUTION:To the rotary axis 18 for use in rotating under a motor 12 is connected two eccentric cams 19 and 20. The piston 22 is reciprocated in the pump 1 by the eccentric cam 19 and the ink is delivered to the accumulator 2 from the ink reservoir 11. When a viscosity of the ink in the ink reservoir 11 is increased, a signal is issued by a viscosity detector means, solenoid 28 is biased and then the stopper 29 is pulled out. The piston 27 is reciprocated within the dilute liquid supplying pump 14 under a rotation of the eccentric cam 20 and the dilute liquid is discharged to the ink reservoir 11 from the dilute liquid supplying tank 16.
