Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a carbnic acid gas absorbing sheet which comprises mainly thermoplastic resins containing calcium hydroxide and water holding agent, and can pack a content, generating carbonic acid gas, without deforming a packing container.
CONSTITUTION: Thermoplastic resins mixed with calcium hydroxide and water holding agent is formed in a sheet to form a carbonic acid gas absorbing resin layer 1. Permeable overcoat layers 2, such as polyethylene, polystyrene, etc., are attached to both sides of said carbonic acid gas absorbing resin layer 1. A reaction produced between calcium hydroxide and carbonic acid gas does not progress when water runs out, and said water holding agent is mixed in order to protect against the occurrence of said phenomenon. Na2CO3.10H2O, vinyl alcohol/acrylate copolymer and the like are used as the water holding agent.
