Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the heat dissipating property of a tank for an oil-filled electric device by continuously reducing the width from the end edge of both ends of a wavy riblike projection of a wavy radiator provided on the outer peripheral wall of the tank to the pressure contact portion thereof from predetermined width as approaching the bottom surface of the riblike projection in the vicinity of the bottom surface of the riblike projection. CONSTITUTION:When a thin steel plate is formed continuously in wavy shape to form a wave radiator, it is formed to incorporate a wavy riblike projection 2a, pressing portions 2b at both upper and lower ends of the projection, a sealing portion 2, a gradient oil guide 2m, and a parallel oil route 2n, and the interior of the projection 2a is used as an insulating oil circulating path 2c. In this configuration, the sealing portion 2 is reduced in width L in the vicinity of the bottom surface of the projection 2a and increased continuously as apart therefrom at the pressing portion 2b. That is, the projection 2b is so constructed, as seen from the oil guide 2m, to approach the welding portion of the pressing portion 2b as approaching at the projection 2a to the vicinity of the bottom surface. In this manner, the radiator can be increased in strength, and decreased in the oil flow isolating region.
