Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide high strength, high toughness and superior corrosion resistance to the title steel by composing the steel of a specified amount each of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, Mo, Al, Cu and N, and the balance Fe, etc. and restricting the Cr equivalent, the Ni equivalent and the δ-ferrite content of the steel.
CONSTITUTION: This steel is composed of C<0.15%, Si<2%, Mn<3%, Ni 3W 9%, Cr 13W28%, Mo<4%, Cu<4%, Al<0.5%, N<0.4%, and the balance Fe, etc., and the following conditions are satisfied: Cr equivalent=20W35, Ni equivalent=5W15 and δ-ferrite=20W80% calculated by equations Cr equivalent=Cr+ 1.21Mo+0.48Si+2.27V+0.72W+2.2Ti+0.14Nb+0.21Ta+2.48Al+0.2Zr, Ni equivalent=Ni+1.1Mn-0.086(Mn)2+0.44Cu+18.4N+24.5C and δ-ferrite%= 4.01+3.12(Cr equivalent)-3.89(Ni equivalent).
