Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve deburring efficiency, by making a chip composed of synthetic resin containing 5-80wt% of inorganic fibers. CONSTITUTION:An abrasive chip for moldings is composed of synthetic resin containing 5-80wt% of inorganic fibers, the synthetic resin being preferably of thermoplastic type, such as polyamide and polyester and the inorganic fibers being preferably glass fibers normally having a diameter of 5-40mu and especially of 10-20mu. The compounding ratio of inorganic fibers is normally 5-80wt% and preferably 10-60wt%. The chip of the said composition can improve removal of parting lines and burrs.
